During the July 1 clashes in Hong Kong in 2019, demonstrators began hitting the Legislative Council complex with debris at 1:30 p.m. At first, more than 100 police officers stood guard inside the building. Until 8:55, the demonstrators successfully rushed into the building after using the iron branch to pry the shutter. The original large number of riot police all left, and the demonstrators painted graffiti inside the building. Lu Weicong was accused of setting up an "empty city plan" to lure demonstrators into the Legislative Council to destroy it. / On October 1, 2019, during the demonstration against the amendment bill of the extradition bill in Hong Kong, when the police clashed with the demonstrators, a riot police officer was attacked by a group of young demonstrators Afterwards, a number of anti-riot policemen rushed to rescue the comrades. One of the policemen drew his gun to warn the police. An 18-year-old Form 5 male student from Tsuen Wan Public Ho Chuanyao Memorial Secondary School, Zeng Zhijian, was wearing blue gloves and holding a blue shield.
